"Drawing or painting has always been a part of my life.. It mingled sometimes with home and children... always included horses, dogs, 4H and country living. but my world has always included art. I was born and raised in California but I have had the opportunity to also see first hand and experience the wild old fashioned western way of life still alive in the vast open unpopulated prairies and tall mountains of Wyoming., I've experienced ranchlife and its hardships, like tending cattle in terrible blizzards, waterholes on the range drying up.. no grass.. grizzlies and wolves... etc. but also the good times, like seeing the newborn calves when they take their first steps and nuzzle up to the cow's warm milk, or riding in a high mountain meadow seeing a herd of elk close up when youre checking the cows while horseback. ..or watching a herd of wild horses gallop away over the green hills, their stallion watching you all the time. These are some of the subject matter for my paintings. I want to thank you for visiting my website, I hope you enjoy it... and I hope someday to be able to share some of my love of the west with you in my artwork. " - Pat Stoddard Aragon
